Conditions of Carriage
The conditions that apply to all passengers travelling with Leap Travel.
1. General Conditions
1.1. These Conditions of Carriage apply to all passengers using the services of Leap Travel Limited. By booking or using our services, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1.2. Leap Travel Limited reserves the right to amend these Conditions of Carriage at any time without prior notice. The most current version will be available on our website.
2. Passenger Conduct
2.1. Passengers must behave in a respectful and orderly manner throughout the journey. Disruptive, abusive, or dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the passenger being removed from the vehicle or the journey being terminated without a refund.
2.2. The consumption of alcohol, smoking (including electronic cigarettes), and the use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited on all Leap Travel Limited vehicles.
2.3. Any verbal or physical abuse directed towards the driver or other passengers will result in immediate termination of the journey, and the passenger(s) involved will be removed from the vehicle without refund.
2.4. Passengers are required by law to wear seat belts at all times while the vehicle is in motion. Passengers must also follow all safety instructions provided by the driver.
3. Luggage
3.1. Passengers are permitted to bring a small personal bag (e.g., handbag, backpack, or laptop bag) on board. Any additional or oversized luggage must be declared at the time of booking and is subject to space availability.
3.2. Leap Travel Limited accepts no liability for loss, damage, or theft of luggage or personal belongings during the journey, except where such loss or damage is due to our negligence.
3.3. Hazardous materials, flammable substances, and illegal items are strictly prohibited on all Leap Travel Limited vehicles.
4. Cleanliness and Damage
4.1. Passengers are expected to keep the vehicle clean and tidy during the journey. A cleaning or "soil" charge of £95 will be applied if a passenger soils the vehicle or leaves it in an excessively dirty condition.
4.2. Passengers must not cause any damage to the vehicle. Any damage caused by a passenger, whether intentional or accidental, will result in the cost of repair being charged to the individual who made the booking.
5. Timeliness
5.1. Leap Travel Limited will make every effort to operate services according to the agreed schedule. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
5.2. In the event of a significant delay, Leap Travel Limited will make reasonable efforts to notify passengers and provide alternative arrangements where possible.
6. Health and Safety
6.1. Passengers must follow all safety instructions provided by the driver.
6.2. Leap Travel Limited reserves the right to refuse carriage to any passenger who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour poses a safety risk to themselves or others.
7. Child Passengers
7.1. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
8. Liability
8.1. Leap Travel Limited’s liability for any loss, damage, or injury is limited to the maximum extent permitted by UK law. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
8.2. Leap Travel Limited will not be responsible for any personal injury or death, except where such injury or death is caused by our negligence.
8.3. Passengers are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance to cover any potential losses or damages.
9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
9.1. To resolve issues as soon as possible, any issues that occur during travel should be reported to the Driver or Company at the earliest convenience.
9.2. All complaints must be made via email to complaints@leaptravel.co.uk within 7 days of the incident. We will investigate all complaints thoroughly and provide a written response within 28 days.
